Ad Extensions

Ad extensions, called assets in Google Ads, are extra information that can be shown alongside a search ad, for example links, phone number, prices or location. Extensions make the ad larger and more informative and can improve the click-through rate. They appear at the system's discretion and factor into the calculation of Ad Rank.

By adding sitelinks and price extensions, an ad takes up more space on the page and gives the user more entry points into the website.
