Conversion tracking
Conversion tracking is the technical setup that records when an ad interaction leads to a defined action on the website. Tracking happens via pixels, tags or server-side events that send data back to the ad platform. Without proper conversion tracking, bidding strategies and reporting cannot optimize toward real results.
A webshop sets up conversion tracking on the order confirmation page so the platform knows which ads actually lead to sales, and at what value.
