Paid advertising

CPM

CPM (Cost Per Mille) is the price for a thousand impressions of an ad, where mille is Latin for thousand. The metric is used mainly in display and social advertising, where payment is based on impressions rather than clicks. CPM makes it possible to compare the price of reach across placements and media.

A brand campaign with a budget of $3,000 and a CPM of $6 delivers around 500,000 impressions.
