Customer journey

A customer journey is the full journey a customer goes through, from first awareness of a brand to purchase and loyalty. The journey is mapped through stages and touchpoints across channels. The purpose is to understand the customer's needs and friction at each step so the experience can be improved.

A mapped customer journey can reveal that many customers drop off between the first visit and purchase because delivery time isn't shown until late in the process.
