Lookalike audience

A lookalike audience is a target group that the ad platform generates by finding users who resemble a source list of existing customers or converters. The algorithm compares behavioral and profile data to find new users with similar characteristics. The method is used to scale prospecting with a higher likelihood of relevance.

By uploading a list of its best customers, a webshop can ask the platform for a lookalike audience made up of the most similar 1 percent of the population.
