Omnichannel

Omnichannel is an approach in which all sales and communication channels work together as one seamless experience for the customer. Unlike separate channels, an omnichannel setup shares data and context across web, store, app, and customer service. The goal is for the customer to experience the same brand and be able to switch channels without starting over.

A customer can add an item to their cart on mobile and complete the purchase on a computer, without the cart disappearing, in a well executed omnichannel setup.
