SAM

SAM stands for Serviceable Addressable Market, the part of the total market (TAM) a company can realistically reach with its current business model, geography, and product. SAM is smaller than TAM, because not everyone in the theoretical market is a realistic customer, and it is used together with SOM (Serviceable Obtainable Market) to assess how much of the market is within realistic reach.

A Danish online store's TAM can be the entire European market for a product category, while its SAM is the part the shop can actually serve with its current shipping and language setup.
