SKU

SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit, a unique code that identifies a specific item, often including the variant such as size or color. SKUs are used to keep track of inventory, sales, and product data, and they form the basis for analyzing which specific variants sell best.

A t-shirt in three colors and four sizes makes up 12 different SKUs, even though it is the same product.
