A view-through conversion is a conversion where the user saw an ad without clicking, but later converted within the attribution window. The metric tries to capture the effect of impressions, even when they do not lead to a direct click. View-through conversions are often weighted lower than click-based ones, because the connection is weaker.
A display campaign with few clicks can still show value through view-through conversions from users who later searched for the company.
