AOV

AOV stands for Average Order Value. It is calculated by dividing total revenue by the number of orders in a given period. AOV is one of the most important standalone metrics for an online store, because it directly affects how much can be spent on acquiring each customer.

An online store with an AOV of $70 can typically justify a higher CAC than a shop with an AOV of $20, because each order carries more margin.
