Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is Google's analytics platform, which measures user behavior across web and app using an event based data model. It replaced Universal Analytics in 2023 and is built on concepts such as events, sessions and users rather than pageviews as the primary unit.

A webshop sets up GA4 to track purchases, add to cart and product views, so traffic sources can be measured against actual revenue.
