A/B Split Test

An A/B split test is a method where two versions of a page or element are shown to separate random shares of traffic at the same time. Whichever version drives the most conversions is judged the better one, provided the difference is statistically sound.

An online store tests two colours for the buy button and lets half of visitors see each variant until the data set is large enough for a conclusion.
