Attribution Model

An attribution model is the rule for how conversion value is distributed between touchpoints. Common models include last click, first click, linear, time decay and data-driven, and the choice affects which channels appear most effective.

Switching from last click to a data-driven model can shift the credit from search ads to the upper-funnel channels that build awareness.
