Cohort analysis

Cohort analysis groups users by a shared starting point, typically the time of their first visit or purchase, and tracks their behavior over time. The method shows how retention and value develop for each group.

A cohort analysis can show that customers acquired during a sale period buy again less often than customers acquired during normal operations.
