Opt-out

Opt-out is a person's withdrawal from future emails, typically via an unsubscribe link. The sender is obligated to make unsubscribing easy and to honor it promptly. A high opt-out rate signals that content or frequency does not match recipients' expectations.

At the bottom of every email sits an unsubscribe link that immediately removes the recipient from the list.
