SPF, Sender Policy Framework, is a DNS record that specifies which servers are allowed to send emails on behalf of a domain. Receiving servers look up the record to determine whether the sender is authorised. Correct SPF is one of the fundamental building blocks of email authentication and deliverability.
The domain's SPF record is expanded to include the email platform's servers, so sends from there are approved by recipients.
