Unique Visitors

Unique visitors is the number of distinct people who have visited a website within a given period, regardless of how many times each one returns. The figure is estimated using cookies, user IDs or similar identifiers.

A thousand unique visitors with two thousand sessions means each person visited the site twice on average.
