Email and automation

Transactional Email

A transactional email is an automatic email triggered by a specific action, containing information the recipient expects, such as order confirmations, shipping notices and password resets. It is driven by the transaction rather than marketing, and therefore typically has very high open rates. Consent rules are more relaxed, but the email should still be kept separate from pure marketing.

Immediately after a purchase, the system sends a transactional email with the order number, line items and expected delivery date.
